Who we are and What we believe
Welcome to Greater Union's web site. It ain't fancy, but it is perspicuous. The intent of the
site is to let you know a little about us folk, a little about our relationships, and a little about what we believe.
But a little goes a long way, and we hope it proves to be of some worth to you.
Below you'll find info about the authority God's placed over us, our pastor and elders. Please visit
our Links page for a feel of our general theological outlook.

Ken Jones and his wife, Lisa, came to Greater Union Baptist church in 1990. Pastor Jones was indirectly
introduced to the doctrines of grace in college, but was directly familiar with them in 1988. Since then he's implemented
these truths in his life, teaching, and ministry for the glory of God. When asked what was his primary pleasure as a
pastor, Ken replied, "Watching God's people grow in His word."

Elder Kenny Tillman is a man devoted to the centrality of faith in the Christian life. He's been married
to his wife, Karen, for 19 years and has been enjoying the truth of biblical soteriology since 1986. When asked what
he saw as his primary duty as an elder was, he replied, "To minister to the flock of God that God has entrusted him with."

Elder Kevin Kidd was introduced to the reformed faith through the efforts of Ligonier Ministries. He's
been an advocate of grace for 8 years now, with his wife of 13 years, Dannette. They have three children. Elder
Kidd's response to what he thought was an important job of the church was, "To gather together for the worship of our holy
God."
